The climb up Apollo Road to the old Honeysuckle Tracking Station starts just off the intersection with Naas Road, about 10km south of Tharwa before Fitzs' Hill. The first 1-2km of Apollo Road contains some downhill which distorts the average gradient and the power output figure. The steeper sections of the climb are about 10% and the average gradient is more like 5.8% for the last 7km.
