Comments
David commented on his own time: "Hard ride there - 70 kmh cross winds - and really blown around at every switch back on the way up. Like to try this again on a calmer day."
David commented on his own time: "Rodeup from Noojee. Vesper's was necessary just to warm up. Miserable conditions as we got to the base of Baw Baw. It was drizzly and cold. Felt awesome to make it to the top. The descent was scary."
David commented on his own time: "First attempt at end of Marysville Fire Relief Ride. First 4 km is pretty hard - reminded me of Baw Baw. Hard to settle into a rhythm - so many gradient changes. Snow at the top, very cold. Love to give it a try with fresher legs."
David commented on his own time: "Didn't see it there on Friday or yesterday but a couple of people did yell abuse at us for riding up - I suppose they didn't know the sign was gone. Quite a few cyclists were about on Friday. A whole bunch of new signs were being fitted yesterday."
David commented on his own time: "moderate headwind, felt like I worked it pretty hard, didn't expect to beat my time from a few days earlier"

It's an Audax ride. Last year it was held in early October. Starts at the Halls Gap oval, heads up to Mt William carpark, back into town, then up to Boroka lookout, down to Zumsteins and then back into town. About 100km with 2000m of climbing. It seems to be pencilled in for October 8 this year on the Audax calendar but many of the roads are still closed. I suppose "watch this space".
The road beyond the boomgate at Mt William carpark is something else - crazy steep.
