What about Fullarton road up to Blackwood, 11percent average gradient and it is pretty long???

I always seem to get attacked going up Mt Osmond this time of year, I do have a black and white helmet which may have something to do with it??? I have been advised to stick some highly reflective tape or tin foil on top of my lid (helmet) not my head, I have done so (tin foil) and so far seems to be working, early days though. I have marks in my helmet from maggy attacks, they are scary little buggers!!!
