Thanks Jeff, I found the record is a full 18k loop, up Corkscrew down Montacute and back onto Gorge. I did 10 laps before I was wrecked, but I also rode 60k to and from the circuit, if I was going to challenge the record again I'll need to drive to the start instead of wasting energy riding there and back.

I've heard AIS coach Ian McKenzie holds a record for the most amount of times a person has managed to summit Corkscrew rd consecutively without stopping. The record is supposedly 10. Does anyone have any more info on this record??

Hydrapack the same company that sells the Gel-Bot that I told you of the other day also make the 'Gel Flask' follow the link and you'll see what I mean: http://www.hydrapak.com/catalog/product2098.htm. I don't know if you have an account with Cassons (details below) but they are the Aussie distributers of this ingenious invention. Hope that helps, David.
