If you go to the calendar page at http://www.sa.cycling.org.au/ you can to see the events scheduled there. Looks like the crits will be going pretty much weekly at Vic park up until Feb 21st when the Clipsal 500 structures will then be in the way (Regency Pk from then on for the rest of the crit season) And yes the track is awesome.

Good luck at nationals Aimee, I'm sure you'll go well. Actually to help keep cool I thought the kiddies at the track had a great idea using spray bottles full of cold water. Maybe a water fight in the SuperDrome is in order.

Hi Folks, After racing each event at the Track on Australia Day at Edwardstown, I have never coughed so much. I know I wasn't the only one as it was like a chorus of coughers all sounding like lungs were about to be barfed up. Staying well hydrated was always necessary more than ever given the temperature, but I have also experienced this at the SuperDrome no matter what the temperature was, whether it be summer or in the middle of winter. I've had a brief search on the web & most discussion centres around "exercise induced asthma" & throat irritation from sucking in lots of air very fast whilst racing or similar. I'm not an asthma sufferer (at least I don't think so). Anyone got any ideas? Brett have you ever experienced this over your career, especially on track ? Cheers, Bryan

I did the full 155k & couldnt sit straight last night...big time sore ass cheeks !!! Couldnt believe how many cars & trucks were along the route. Got quite scary at times especially heading through the last few kms into Angaston. I found Menglers Hill to be not too bad, sure it was steep but only for 2kms really. Going up with the signs at 2km, 1km, 800m, 600m, 400m ,200m, 100m made it easy to break it down & zoom up. Although concentration was certainly interrupted by the Devil woman in the revealing red suit going up Menglers...wow !!!

This is going to be hard to explain & make it easy to understand but here goes... Just had a thought that on a given member's profile page where it lists times achieved, that you could maybe have a graph that shows each attempt for a given hill climb with the date of each climb on the X-axis & the Y-axis values represent the time achieved for each of those climb attempts. e.g. say you have climbed Norton Summit 10 times, you could graph those across the page left to right so you can graphically see the improvements in times achieved (or where you got worse) over time. The Y-axis values could be the actual times, or power/weight watts per kg or any other metric you can dream up to measure a climb performance. Hope I didn't get my X & Y axis's mixed up !!!! BTW the new site is awesome.
