The climb starts from the main coast road 3kms after the town of Arma di Taggia while travelling west towards Sanremo. No really obvious landmark to indicate the turnoff apart from the signpost showing 'SP55 Poggio, Ceriana & Baiardo & a zebra crossing just at the turnoff.

Start Point: Turn off from coast road, rolling

End point: 'Alimentari il Poggio' shop on right in line with zebra crossing.
